Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) started the day with all its indexes posting modest losses and following the same trend as European and Asian stocks.

Deals in the opening session were low, totaling 1.72 million lei (472,443 euros). The BET index measuring the market’s ten top performers dropped 0.45 percent to 7,046.39 and the BET-C index tracking all listed shares minus investment funds slipped 0.50 percent to 4,919.45.
The ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna lost 0.31 percent to 15,519.72. The BET-FI index which measures the five financial companies SIFs dropped 0.87 percent to 55,239.75.
The shares of BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, gained 0.56 percent, to 17.90 lei per share. Banca Transilvania (TLV), Romania’s fifth lender by assets, saw its shares plunging 0.70 percent, to 0.71 lei.
SIF Moldova (SIF2) shares lost 0.38 percent, to 2.59 lei. The shares of SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) dropped 1.18 percent, to 1.18 lei per share.
The shares of Romania’s top oil company Petrom (SNP) stagnated at 0.3710.
