Securitatea energetică înseamnă și securitate informațională, iar România trebuie să fie pregătită să-și apere infrastructura critică, dar și percepția publică asupra propriei stabilități, a declarat, în cadrul Conferinței EnergIntell 2025, președintele Autorității Naționale de Reglementare în domeniul Energiei (ANRE), constănțeanul George Niculescu.

„Energia nu mai înseamnă doar producție sau transport - ea a devenit un instrument strategic de putere. Într-un context geopolitic marcat de presiuni și dezinformare, securitatea energetică înseamnă și securitate informațională. România trebuie să fie pregătită să-și apere infrastructura critică, dar și percepția publică asupra propriei stabilități", a spus Niculescu.

Acesta a adăugat că predictibilitatea și încrederea sunt pilonii de bază pentru atragerea investițiilor strategice.

Într-un context geopolitic volatil, marcat de crize, tranziția energetică și de nevoia de independență strategică, România se afirmă tot mai clar ca hub energetic regional al Europei de Sud-Est, care poate să susțină proiecte strategice de infrastructură și securitate energetică, având un impact transfrontalier. Cu un mix energetic echilibrat - nuclear, hidro, gaze naturale și surse regenerabile - România se află într-un punct de inflexiune între tranziția verde europeană și nevoia de reziliență economică și securitate energetică.
