Stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) dropped 1.5 percent in today's opening session, except for the ones in the energy sector, on the same liquidity as in the previous session.

Liquidity idled at 1.42 million lei (388,900 euros) in today's opening session.
Stocks in the U.S. closed mixed in the previous session. The Dow Jones (DJIA) composite index inched 0.03 percent to 11,350.01, the S&P 500 index gained 0.13 percent to 1,280 and the Nasdaq index fell 0.98 percent to 2,292.98.
In Romania, the BET index measuring the ten best companies on BSE, decreased 0.62 percent to 6,462.38 and the BET-C composite index tracking all listed shares minus investment funds lost 0.45 percent to 4,616.78.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIFs dropped 1.51 percent to 45,571.43 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna dipped 0.49 percent to 14,770.57.
BSE launched today two new indexes, BET Extended Index (BET-XT) measuring the 25 most liquid companies on the market and BET-NT measuring companies in the power field. The two indexes were calculated retroactively starting January 1, 2007 and started from 1,000 points.
So the BET-XT index measuring the 25 most liquid companies on the market lowered 0.92 percent to 715.24 and the BET-NG index measuring companies in the power sector advanced 0.26 percent to 836.64.
Fifth lender by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) was the most liquid stock today with deals of 266,491 lei and lost 0.26 percent to 0.377 lei.
SIF Moldova (SIF2) dipped 1.57 percent to 1.88 lei, SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) dropped 1.52 percent to 1.95 lei, SIF Muntenia (SIF4) lowered 2.05 percent to 1.43 lei and SIF Transilvania (SIF3) fell 1.44 percent to 1.37 lei.
