Romania's leu fell to 3.66 against Europe's single currency in today's opening session, together with other foreign currencies in the region, following the decrease of U.S. and Asian stocks, dealers said.

Banks sold the euro for 3.6580 lei this morning. The national currency stood at 3.6692 against the euro at 11 a.m.
The U.S. dollar was traded for 1.4786-1.4826 U.S. dollars per euro on the international markets and at 11 a.m. Romania's hour, the euro stood at 1.4825 U.S. dollars.
The interbank interest rates for overnight deposits stood at 10 percent per year, exceeding the monetary policy rate of 9 percent, on lower liquidity on the market.
