Romanian stocks climb slightly at rising bell on modest liquidity

Indexes on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) posted moderate increases at rising bell today with a maximum of 0.98 percent on the BET-FI index.
Liquidity halved to 1.5 million lei (410,400 euros) from 3.16 million lei in the previous session.
Bourses in the U.S. climbed slightly on closing yesterday. The Dow Jones (DJIA) index inched 0.04 percent to 11,811.83, the S&P 500 index gained 0.58 percent to 1,321.97 and the Nasdaq index rose 1.39 percent to 2,401.26.
The BET index showing the ten best companies on the BSE nudged up 0.80 percent to 6,652.02 and the BET-C index tracking all listed shares minus investment funds inched 0.04 percent to 4,729.89.
The BET-Fi index of the five financial companies also known as SIFs upped 0.98 percent to 49,179.50 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna climbed 0.32 percent to 15,238.70.
SIF Muntenia (SIF4) was the most liquid stock today generating deals of 214,345 lei and shares climbed 1.28 percent to 1.58 lei, followed by SIF Oltenia (SIF5) which upped 0.73 percent to 2.77 lei. SIF Transilvania (SIF3) rose 0.67 percent to 1.51 lei and SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) gained 0.98 percent to 2.07 lei.
Banca Comerciala Carpatica (BCC) hiked 4.35 percent to 0.264 lei after coming back on trading today. BSE suspended yesterday morning the BCE shares on takeover rumors which were refuted in the evening. Fifth lender by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) upped 1.01 percent to 0.399 lei.
