Romanian stocks advanced 1.64 percent today at rising bell underpinned by increase of financial stocks and lenders for the second consecutive time.

Deals stood at 2.31 million lei (637,817 euros) in the first 30 minutes of trading.
Bourses in the U.S. closed on small increases last night with the Dow Jones composite index (DJIA) gaining 0.49 percent to 12,362 and the S & P 500 index measuring the best 500 companies on the market climbing 0.46 percent to 1,334. The Nasdaq index nudged up 0.45 percent to 2,286.
The BET index of the ten top companies on the Bucharest Stock Exchange advanced 1.64 percent to 6,898.11 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds added 1.50 percent to 4,868.05.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIFs inched 0.83 percent to 50,996.39, while the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna climbed 1.81 percent to 15,570.50.
Fifth lender by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) was the most liquid stock today generating deals of 392,565 lei after a 1.42 percent gain to 0.7150 lei, followed by oil company Petrom (SNP) which grew 3.29 percent to 0.44 lei on deals of 363,818 lei.
Brokerage Broker Cluj (BRK) fell 4.40 percent to 1.52 lei. Erste Bank (EBS), listed at the international tier and the majority owner of Romania’s largest bank by assets, BCR, rose 1.28 percent to 150 lei.
SIF Oltenia (SIF5) inched 0.74 percent to 2.74 lei, SIF Moldova (SIF2) gained 0.89 percent to 2.26 lei, SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) climbed 1.20 percent to 2.52 lei and SIF Muntenia (SIF4) rose 0.65 percent to 1.55 lei.
Second lender by assets BRD-SocGen (BRD) increased 2.50 percent to 20.50 lei. Oil refiner Rompetrol Rafinare Constanta (RRC) rose 2.92 percent to 0.0670 lei.
