Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange drop slightly at rising bell

Stocks listed at Romania’s core bourse, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) lost an average 0.70 percent at opening and liquidity reduced a third to 1.5 million lei.

The BET index of the ten best companies on BSE fell 0.41 percent to 5,505.06 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds slipped 0.70 percent to 4,067.98.

The BET-FI index assessing the five financial companies SIF dropped 0.41 percent to 34,635.92 and the ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna dipped 0.08 percent to 13,114.34.

The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies on the market decreased 0.42 percent to 586.96 and the BET-NG index reflecting the evolution of the ten power companies on BSE dropped 0.44 percent to 769.38.

The bourses in the U.S. were mixed with the Dow Jones composite index (DJIA) adding 0.14 percent to 11,532 and the S&P 500 index of the best 500 companies losing 0.20 percent to 1,274. Nasdaq dropped 0.66 percent to 2,333.

SIF Transilvania (SIF3) was the most liquid stock this morning generating deals of 384,331 lei and it idled at 0.9150 lei. SIF Oltenia (SIF5) fell 1.63 percent to 1.81 lei.

The fifth lender by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) lost 0.34 percent to 0.2890 lei. SIF Moldova (SIF2) slipped 0.58 percent to 1.71 lei.

SIF Muntenia (SIF4) decreased 0.91 percent to 1.09 lei and SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) fell 0.61 percent to 1.64 lei.
