Bucharest Stock Exchange indexes post slight increase, European stocks go up

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) showed moderate hikes in today’s opening session and European stocks rose for the first time after six days of turmoil.
Deals stood at 4.8 million lei (1.3 million euros), up 56 percent against yesterday’s transactions. The BET index measuring the market’s ten top performers gained 0.40 percent to 7,376.50 and the BET-C index assessing all listed shares minus investment funds grew 0.17 percent to 5,154.29.
The BET-FI index tracking the five investment funds known as SIFs rose 0.69 percent to 60,005.05. The ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna was not updated from yesterday.
SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) shares lost 0.71 percent to 2.78 lei. The shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) stagnated at 3.30 lei.
Lender Banca Transilvania (TLV), the fifth by assets in Romania, lost 0.67 percent to 0.745 lei. The shares of BRD SocGen, Romania’s second largest lender by assets, upped 0.98 percent, to 20.60 lei per share.
The shares of drugmaker Antibiotice Iasi (ATB) idled at 1.60 lei.
