Romanian stocks drop at rising bell, liquidity halves to 3m lei

Stocks listed at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) saw moderate falls this morning and deals halved to 3 million lei.
Bourses in the U.S. were mixed yesterday. The Dow Jones (DJIA) composite index remained at 12,280.32 and the S&P 500 index measuring the best 500 companies in the U.S. inched slightly 0.08 percent to 1,361.76. Nasdaq lost 0.61 percent to 2,459.46.
The BET index of the ten best companies on BSE slipped 0.77 percent to 7,538.87 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus investment funds fell 0.59 percent to 5,325.74.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIFs dipped 0.08 percent to 53,612.66 and the ROTX index for trading blue chips in Vienna fell 1.49 percent to 17,124.06.
SIF Transilvania (SIF3) was the most liquid stock on the market generating deals of 555,700 lei and gained 1.85 percent to 1.65 lei while SIF Oltenia (SIF5) cheapened 0.68 percent to 2.92 lei on deals of 342,100 lei.
SIF Muntenia (SIF4) decreased 1.18 percent to 1.68 lei, SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) dropped 0.41 percent to 2.41 lei. SIF Moldova (SIF2) lost 0.45 percent to 2.22 lei.
Brokerage Broker Cluj (BRK) stayed at 0.87 lei and fertilizer maker Azomures (AZO) advanced 4.69 percent to 0.67 lei.
Second lender by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) slipped 1.31 percent to 22.60 lei and fifth bank by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) cheapened 0.85 percent to 0.465 lei.
Erste Bank (EBS) listed at the international tier of BSE fell 3.64 percent to 159 lei.
