Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) started the day with the shares of the fertilizers producer Azomures being the most liquid, rising 11.76 percent; European, Asian shares dived.

Opening session deals reached 2.57 million lei (698,287 euros), slightly up against the 2.4 million lei seen yesterday.
Bourses in the U.S. closed yesterday evening with the Dow Jones (DJIA) composite index gaining 0.19 percent to 12,625 and the S&P 500 tracking the 500 best companies in the U.S. advancing 0.26 percent to 1,394. Nasdaq upped 0.67 percent to 2,464.
The BET index in Romania of the ten best companies on the market rose 0.51 percent to 7,400.42 and the BET-C composite index measuring all listed shares minus investment funds gained 0.30 percent to 5,211.09.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIFs increased 1.17 percent to 52,835.13 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna rose 0.37 percent to 17,170.91.
Azomures (AZO) shares were the most liquid and hiked 11.76 percent, to 0.4370 lei. Amonil (AMO) upped 3.71 percent, to 0.0615 lei.
SIF Moldova (SIF2) advanced 0.46 percent, to 2.19 lei and SIF Muntenia (SIF4) rose 1.21 percent, to 1.67 lei. SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) gained 0.42 percent, to 2.40 lei and SIF Oltenia (SIF5) grew 2.11 percent, to 2.90 lei.
The second bank by assets BRD SocGen (BRD) upped 0.91 percent to 22.10 lei and the fifth lender by assets Banca Transilvania (TLV) decreased 0.89 percent to 0.4440 lei.
SSIF Broker Cluj (BRK) rose 1.28 percent, to 0.79 lei.
