Romania’s leu idles at 3.67 versus the single European currency on still market

Romania’s national currency, the leu, was stagnating at 3.67 versus the euro on a calm market without volatility, dealers said.
The leu oscillated at 3.6727 and 3.6770 versus the euro and at 11:20, banks bought the euro for 3.6720 and sold it for 3.6770 lei.
On the international markets the U.S. dollar advanced to 1.55 versus the euro from 1.56 this morning and at 11:20, Romania’s hour, the euro traded at 1.5508 U.S. dollars.
Interbank interests for overnight deposits slipped to 6-7 percent per year, below the monetary policy rate of 9.75 percent.
