Liliana Botezatu, medic specialist în cadrul Phoenix Eastern Medical Center ne-a confirmat că persoanele hipertensive care amână să se trateze sunt cele mai predispuse la accident vascular cerebral. Totul, din cauză că tensiunea crește foarte mult și, în aceste condiții, peretele arterial slăbește, iar în condiții de oboseală, stres, alimentație în exces, chiar și un singur puseu de tensiune este suficient pentru a rupe vasul și a inunda creierul în sânge. Ca și simptome ale accidentului vascular, se recunosc durerile de cap, vărsăturile și în cazuri mai grave, pierderea cunoștinței, după care se instalează starea de comă.
Alarmant! Atâta vreme cât după afecțiunile de inimă și cancer, accidentul vascular cerebral este considerat următoarea cauză de mortalitate, cel puțin în țara noastră, medicul vă recomandă să consultați de urgență un specialist, singurul în măsură să se pronunțe dacă suspiciunile dumneavoastră se confirmă. În niciun caz nu se recomandă automedicația! Cât privește odihna, aceasta nu numai că este necesară, dar este și recomandată cu insistență pacienților hipertensivi.
